Activities

School Calendar Event

Teaching and learning experiences outside the confines of the classroom walls have a range of benefits for students. Applying the knowledge gained in classroom in the real-world application enhances learning and fosters personal and social development. Students learning through engaging outside the classroom activities reports higher levels of motivation and more vivid memories of the course material, which have an impact on the students' personalities and academic performance.

House System

There are five Houses, PRITHIVI (पृथवी), JAL (जल), VAYU (वायु), AGNI (अग्नि), NAV (आकाश), in the school. Every student on admission is placed in one of the Houses. Two students from each House are elected as Captain and Vice-Captain, who head the House. A member of the staff assisted by several other teachers acts as the House Warden. Points are awarded to the students throughout the year for extracurricular activities, games, and sports. At the end of the year, the house scoring the highest points is declared the winner. Inter-house competitions are organized in Sports, Dramatics, Debates, Quiz, Art, Music, and Dance, etc.

Sports

At Apna School, we believe physical fitness and sports are an integral part of the holistic growth of students. While individual sports inculcate a feeling of healthy competition, discipline and resilience, group sports add ‘Team before Self’.

In our campus, apart from Open Gyms and Skating Rings, we have multipurpose grounds for most other outdoor sports, including football, badminton, volleyball, basketball, cricket, khokho, kabaddi, etc. We plan to have monthly competitions in different sports for different grades which will culminate in an annual sports week/day
